Mander Auctioneers was established in the 1970s, previously trading as Dyson and Son, and has an international client base of over 16,000 clients. With ten years of experience as a valuer in both local and international auction houses, auctioneer James Mander took over the business in May 2006 following the retirement of the previous owner
Situated between the church and the Ancient House Museum, from our showroom in the historic market town of Clare in West Suffolk, we hold auctions of up to 700 lots every third Saturday throughout the year which include antique and good quality later furniture, silver, pictures, ceramics, jewellery and architectural items
We offer a full house clearance service and valuations for the purposes of probate and insurance from large estates to single items and we are always happy to advise our clients in their own home or at our saleroom
Covering the whole of East Anglia, our aim is to offer a professional and efficient service to both the vendor and the buyer which we hope will make buying and selling at auction a pleasurable experience

Clare is located on the A1092 between Haverhill and Long Melford. The auction room can be found next to the church in Clare
